Venturing into the boundaries of new world archaeoastronomy, the NASCA LINES show presents Maria Reiche's theory, and the connection she found between the Nasca lines and some astronomical events. She theorized the lines were oriented towards the places on the horizon where different celestial objects appeared and disappeared.
Join us in a journey through the constellations that were imagined by ancient civilizations. Observe the bright stars of the southern hemisphere especially the ones in the sky of Nasca, and learn about the astronomy, myths, and beliefs of the precolumbian cultures. |

A dome projection gives an impressive view of the Nasca area to approach the different interpretations about the origin, uses, and possible meanings of the enigmatic lines and figures of Nasca. Observe the many lines, geoglyphs, geometrical shapes and zig zag motifs etched on the barren plains of the southern coast in peru.
After the show weather permitting, in a backyard exploration of the night sky, have a naked-eye view of the constellations and bright stars of the season along with telescope observation of the moon, planets, and other celestial marvels. |
